On Amazon, I picked out a starter pack of brush pens, the Sakura Pigma three pack. This pack has three different sizes of brush. Oh man, I was hooked! My writing wasn't great when I first started, but I kept practicing with them. It really takes some time to get a feel for the pens. Below, you'll see an image of the three different sizes:
I personally love working with the medium pen because the large one feels a bit unruly, and the small one isn't as smooth. Like with Goldilocks, the middle one was jussssttttt right.
One of my instagram friends commented on one of my earlier brush lettering posts that I had to try out the Tombow dual brush pens. One side is a brush pen, and the other side is a thin marker. Unfortunately the pack that I wanted was sold out on Amazon, so I tracked some down at Blick Art Store in Central Square of Cambridge.
I LOVE THESE PENS!!!!!!
Where have they been all my life?!?!?!
They're a little pricey ($3.19 each), but the packs seem to be a good deal, (~$25). Unfortunately, the packs at that store were sold out as well, so I ended up taking advantage of a "Buy 10, get 2 free deal." Yes, I spent over $30 on pens. But take a look:
I can't wait to keep experimenting! They make handwriting even more fun! Check back for more projects.
#obsessed Can't wait to try mine out!
