People continue to ask me how I learned calligraphy, and while I did take a class back in middle school, Instagram is really where I do most of my learning just simply by viewing the work and techniques of others. One thing that caught my eye was beautiful gold watercolor pieces of work, and I found the palette here on this site.

I was clearly very excited when I got my palette in the mail!

It's a palette of six metallics, mostly gold. The paint is dry, like regular watercolors, and you can use a small brush with lots of water to create a really nice ink. I have found that I need to keep adding water as I do my lettering.

I really love this medium--the only thing that frustrates me is that I can't capture the real shine of the ink in a photo!
