Plates | Korean Beef Tacos with Pickled Cabbage

Recipe 1 of my Global Kitchen Cookbook done, and it was DELICIOUS!


Korean Beef

1/3 cup sugar
5 tbsp soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp gochujang
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp sesame oil
4 minced garlic cloves

Mix these ingredients in a dish and add 12 ounces of shaved flank steak. Mix in the bowl, cover, and marinate for 30-60 minutes. Cook in a pan until the meat is done.

Pickled Cabbage
3 cups chopped napa cabbage
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 cup rice vinegar
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp gochujang

Place cabbage in a bowl with the garlic. Bring vinegar, soy sauce, sugar and gochujang to a boil in a sauce pan and pour over the cabbage. Let stand for 30 minutes.

Plating
Corn tortillas
3 tbsp sliced green onions
lime wedges

Place the meat in a corn tortilla, top with pickled cabbage, sliced green onions and lime wedges. Voila! Delicious!
