Plans | Ballast Point

I love going home for the holidays to see my family, and I also love seeing all of my high school friends. It's the one time of year when we're all in the same place since we're now spread out all across the country. At our age, it's especially fun to see what people are up to in life, jobs, relationships, and so on.

I hadn't heard of any plans that people were making to see each other, so I created a Facebook event one day before the intended event to get drinks at Ballast Point, a local brewery. I was SO pleasantly surprised by the turnout--almost everyone was able to come. It just goes to show that people are more than happy to attend fun get-togethers, there just needs to be someone to plan it! Even if it's just one day's notice!

Bottom line--to host a get-together, sometimes all you need is a time and place. The rest will take care of itself.
