I’ve been so happy to see coloring and crafting making a come back! I found adorable coloring books at Michael’s and used those as inspiration for a crafting party with my girlfriends. This was a very fun, albeit relaxing, gathering of great friends. I intentionally invited women from different parts of my life--work, college, and high school--so that everyone could get to know each other a little better in a relaxed environment.
I planned a few crafts and baked some sweet and savory treats. We had so much fun with the crafts--I think coloring was the crowd favorite. The Positivity Jars were wonderfully cute party favors for everyone, made even more special since everyone contributed to them! It was a really rejuvenating afternoon of girl chat, warm beverages, delicious snacks, and friendship.
The Snacks:
3 types of scones--plain, rasberry, and lemon blueberry (see pg. _)
Mini quiches
Carrots and cherry tomatos with a lemon-dill yogurt sauce
Brie and crackers
Chai tea
The Crafts:
Coloring--coloring books and colored pencils
Bookmarks--everyone could make one using craft paper, washi tape, and glue
Positivity Jars--everyone wrote positive messages or fun ideas of things to do on slips of paper and put them in the mason jars. Each girlfriend took home her jar of positivity for the year!
